Founder, Digital Readiness Lab
Rinat Strahlhofer
Rinat Strahlhofer is the founder of the Digital Readiness Lab and LiVELY. She leads the Lab's strategy and partnerships, bringing together the researchers, organisations and media shaping childhood. Because preparing children for a digital world can't sit with families alone.
At the heart of her work is one question. What makes a child ready for digital life?

Background & Vision
She helped put mobile internet in Australia's pockets. Now she's asking whether our children are ready for what's inside it.
More than two decades ago Rinat was part of the Telstra marketing team behind the national rollout of Next G, helping put mobile internet into the hands of a generation of Australians. It was an extraordinary moment in technology. It changed how we connected, communicated and lived. It changed childhood too.
Years later, as a parent, Rinat found herself looking at the digital world very differently. Not asking whether technology was good or bad, or how much, how long or how old. A bigger question was emerging. Are we actually preparing children for what comes with it?
That question eventually led to the Digital Readiness Lab.
Why the Lab
The evidence is scattered. The responsibility is shared.
Children's digital lives are shaped by the world around them. The Digital Readiness Lab brings research, families, schools, industry and government together around the evidence. To understand what children need, and build it together.
Her role
Her job isn't to conduct the science. It's to make sure the science gets used.
- Into products
- Into families
- Into organisations
- Into better decisions
- Into the national conversation
